What could you buy for $230?
That of course all depends on where you live.
Previous blogs have been
about the water situation in Kalima. However Peasant Solidarity are
involved in other projects too.
Last year they invested a donation of
$230 in giving micro-credits to five women: widows and
unsupported mothers. PIEADC made it clear to the borrowers,
that repaying the loans would ensure that other women would get a
chance to start small businesses. By the end of the year seven other
women were given a chance to help themselves.

As a result
of a very modest donation and the tenacity of one tiny N.G.O in one
of the devastated regions in the world twelve women's lives are just
a little bit better today.
Here is the report, which I hope will inspire a few more people to
help them.
