Putting the cart before the horse

Late again!

The 15th was yesterday and I had planned to blog about hand-washing.

 However, yesterday my grandchildren kept me busy with other things. They even helped me cook lunch. Although I had forgotten about Global Handwashing Day, I reminded them to wash their hands with soap and water.

Hand-washing campaigns are a great idea. When my grandson was in nursery school, his teacher taught his class how to do it properly and  he earned a hand-washing diploma.

To do it efficiently you need both soap and clean water. This must be a big challenge for people living in areas without access to clean water. 

It is a shocking fact that 1/10 world citizens lack a clean water supply.

 If I were one of them, I would be tempted ask: ''Aren't you putting the cart before the horse?''
